Thu, February 26, 2009 - 3:51 PMOnly 'economic justice' that really exists is found in laissez faire capitalism. Let men keep as much or as little as they carve out for themselves, all else is theft. -

Are you saying we should not have complained about paying all those bonuses to finance company CEOs? That we should not regulate the market?
I think we saw where that got us.

Re: Economic Justice and Tribal Business
Mon, May 25, 2009 - 4:42 AMLibertarian capitalists like to complain about government involvement, but the only reason that rich people are able to insulate themselves from the rest of the world, and delude themselves into thinking they aren't dependent on that world, is because the government provides a police force and jails to protect their "right" to private ownership. The "economic justice" you speak of is social injustice. We live in a world of limited space and resources - all the property horded is property made unavailable to others. As the Anarchist economist P.J. Proudhon said: "Property is theft."

Re: Economic Justice and Tribal Business
Sat, July 18, 2009 - 11:11 AMTo clarify, I'm against government protection, but don't think capitalism would continue without it. I'm only in favor of government regulation as long as we are going to have governments that are capable of having what they need to provide for the common good, and am opposed to state-defended lassez faire capitalism because it's already been shown that this model only leads to rule by the rich, and I don't believe in the benevolence of capitalist enterprises. Better to do without either, and let natural law be the only laws we live by
